Our Junior Ambassadors are Teen Leaders and Peer Educators in the community that have completed our Fed Up Inc. Teen Leader Training. They serve on the Junior Advisory Board to help us reach youth more effectively.
Jo Hummel, 13
Grosse Pointe, Michigan
Jo is committed to being a leader in her community. As both an athlete and scholar she is the original “Fed Up Inc. Junior Ambassador”. Jo’s enthusiasm and support allowed Fed Up to survey a group of kids from Grosse Pointe, Michigan to begin developing the program just for kids. Jo is a poet, excels in English, loves dogs (especially Ashley Malibu) and runs track. She plans to attend Liggett High School in Grosse Pointe, MI and would like to go to Georgetown, Columbia or USC.
Morgan Prouse, 15
San Diego, California
Morgan is in 10th grade this year and her favorite subjects are Honors English, AP European History, Beginner Theater, and ASB. She has received many awards including Office Runner in ASB which is an award for the Sophomore with most potential. She takes art classes in her free time and has received numerous awards! Morgan plans to attend Columbia or NYU and would like to major in theater or business. She hopes to one day own a chain of retail shops or become an actress. She has been invited to attend the Summer Program at Barnard in New York City this summer. She spends her free time drawing, doing arts & crafts, shopping, fashion, collecting rubber ducks, traveling and spending time with family, friends and her dogs, Daisy Mae and Furrari.
Los Angeles, California
Michelle is a junior at University High School. She takes interest in varied areas, such as: law, politics, biology, and theatre. She spends much of her time studying different world philosophies and religions; and has become an avid studier of western astrology. Her favorite activities include going to kick-boxing classes with her mother, playing with her two dogs, and patronizing local theatres. She dreams of performing Shakespearian plays with a professional company. She is a contributing writer to the Fed Up blog and believes it is very important to inform young people about healthy body image.
