Fed Up Inc.’s Teen Leader Training Program

Fed Up Inc. is a 501c3 organization that educates boys and girls 5-18 on body image, self esteem and healthy living.  The six week program is lead by students ages 13-18 who serve as peer mentors.  Lessons include:  media awareness training, nutrition, dressing for your body type, a mock photoshoot, photoshop, leadership, assertiveness, self acceptance, exercise, activism and much more.  Students ages 13-18 are encouraged to apply to become certified Leaders.   Once accepted to the program they are trained and work with an Adult Advisor to develop and run the type of program that they feel will most benefit their community.

Fed Up’s Intro Program for Teen Leaders is $250.00 and designed to reach boys and girls of ALL ages in a combined setting.  In order to bring the Program to your area a “Leader” and “Advisor” must fill out an application.  If the application is approved the Leader will be trained and certified to teach the Intro curriculum.  Training is a three hour workshop with Fed Up Staff.

Fed Up offers a great amount of flexibility to allow Leaders to create a program that is personalized.  Some Leaders choose to teach very young children, while others prefer to teach kids their same age.  Each week we do provide a healthy snack and plenty of opportunity to learn and grow.  We also encourage inviting guest speakers to enhance the lesson (we are glad to help find a local photographer, makeup artist, actor, stylist, etc.).

Leaders will receive all the tools and support they need to teach Fed Up.  They are eligible to use this experience for community service hours, extra credit and a great resume builder.

Fed Up Inc. is a non-profit that runs on the generosity of donors, sponsors, grants, etc.  We want to be sure to reach ALL students so we suggest a donation of $250.00 for Leader training.  Fed Up groups have hosted fundraisers in the past to raise this money and more for their own personal budget.  We have a lot of great relationships with community vendors who are happy to donate food and other items to help you raise money to make your group thrive.
